Earthly Body Located: John Cocchi, 75 - New York

A dead body found in a shipping channel off Sandy Hook last Monday has been identified as John Cocchi, the Staten Island Advance reported.
Cocchi, 75, was last seen outside of his Brooklyn apartment on April 25, according to the report. He was wearing a black hat, blue jacket and blue jeans.
A fisherman reportedly from Staten Island discovered Cocchi's body around 6:30 a.m. last Monday in the Ambrose Channel, a major shipping channel several miles off Sandy Hook.
Cocchi's body was retrieved by the U.S. Coast Guard and eventually transferred to New Jersey State Police, Sector New York spokesman Charles Rowe told silive.com. He was reportedly found wearing the same clothes he was last seen in.
The cause and manner of death are still under investigation by the Monmouth County medical examiner, silive.com said.
Cocchi's family told the New York Daily News he was a writer and played a small role in a 1960s B-level Western movie.
