SILVER ALERT: Benjamin Wedderman, 81 - Plainfield, CONNECTICUT (Dementia)


Police are searching for 81-year-old Benjamin Wedderman, who went missing from Plainfield on Sunday afternoon.
Plainfield police said Wedderman disappeared around 1 or 1:30 p.m. Sunday and has dementia but has always appeared to be lucid. A Silver Alert for Wedderman was issued around 4:40 p.m. Sunday.
Police said Wedderman has contested the diagnosis and has asked to speak with an attorney. It's not clear if this is connected to his disappearance.
Wedderman is described as a white male with white hair and blue eyes. Police said he's 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a blue-and-black checkered long-sleeved flannel shirt, black slacks and black shoes with Velcro.
