Located Safe: Traute Rankin, 75 - Florida (was taken to area Medical Center for evaluation - appeared to be in good health)

A 75-year-old Leesburg woman missing for more than a month has been found – right near the big box store she was known to frequent.
Leesburg police said Traute Rankin was found lying in the bushes at the edge of the parking lot of the Walmart in Leesburg just after 2 p.m. Saturday. She was roughly a mile from her Silver Pointe apartment complex.
"Although Mrs. Rankin was dirty and slightly confused, she appeared to be in good health," police spokesman Capt. Rob Hicks said.
She was transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center for a medical evaluation.
Before Saturday, the last time Rankin spoke to her family was April 29, and she was last seen April 27.
After the family reported they couldn't reach her the last week of April, apartment complex officials conducted a wellness check on Rankin on May 2. Officials found the apartment door locked but Rankin missing. Searches by law enforcement officers, bloodhounds, horses and helicopters, plus checks of area hospitals, had failed to find her.
Friends and family members told detectives she had enjoyed walking to Walmart, and the area between the store and the apartment complex had been a focus of the search.
Hicks said detectives have responded to the hospital and will interview Rankin in an effort to determine her whereabouts since her disappearance.
