The body of 35-year-old Frances Christman was found in a pond Sunday afternoon by a fisherman in an area known as "Demlers" in the Town of Wheatfield.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Department is investigating along with the North Tonawanda Police Department. Officers do not suspect foul play to be involved in Christman's disappearance or death.
Christman had been missing since the evening of April 1st, when he went out to walk his dog and did not return home.
The Erie County Medical Examiner's office is performing an autopsy and toxicology tests to determine how Christman died.
