Authorities from several agencies continue to search for a 38-year-old Ada man missing since March 10.
"The Pontotoc County Sheriff's Office, Ada Police Department, along with assistance from the Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department are currently attempting to determine the location of missing person, Charles Dewayne Manuel," Sheriff John Christian said Wednesday. "Manuel left his grandparent's home in Ada on March 10, and the family had no contact with him since that time. Manuel was officially reported missing on March 17."
Sheriff's deputies and Ada police are canvassing areas Manuel was known to frequent, Christian said.
"All agencies involved are searching for any information concerning Charles Manuel's current status," he said. "Chickasaw Lighthorse police are assisting with the canvass of neighborhoods, along with providing divers to check local ponds in the area."
The agencies involved are requesting anyone with information concerning Charles Manuel to contact Ada Police Detective Destry Musgrove at 580-332-4466. Callers with information who would like to remain anonymous can use the Ada Crime Stoppers Program at 580-332-2824.
"Any information on Charles Manuel's location would be greatly appreciated," Christian said.
Manuel is described as a white male, 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He weighs 185 pounds and has blue eyes, brown hair and a receding hairline. -
