Located Safe: Katie Anne Stull, 19 - Arizona

Surprise police said Wednesday that they have located an endangered, 19-year-old woman who had been missing since Monday.

Katie Anne Stull was located just after 2 p.m. near 175th Avenue and Desert Lane in Surprise, police said.

Police said they received a call from a Realtor who found Stull at about 1 p.m. as she slept in a tent in the backyard of a vacant home in the 17200 block of West Tara Lane. Stull, who is said to have a diminished mental capacity, reportedly ran away from home two days prior.

Stull left the vacant home on foot and was located by officers in a nearby drainage pipe.

Sgt. Mike Donovan, a Surprise Police spokesman, said Stull was taken to a hospital for evaluation as a precautionary measure.
