URGENT #MISSING: Robert Searer, 77 - Wood County, TEXAS (Alzheimer's Disease - suffers from anxiety - believed to be driving a gray 1998 Dodge pickup with TX plate BN4-5243 - needs medications)

Wood County authorities continue to search for an elderly man who went missing earlier this week. 

The Wood County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday that 77-year-old Robert Searer had been reported missing at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The family of the beloved husband and father, in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disesase, simply drove away from the family home, family members said, and has not been seen since.

Electronic billboards along Interstate 20 showed messages asking for the public's help in the search for Mr. Searer.

Searer's wife Donna says a disagreement about a bill set him off, and he suffered what she called an anxiety attack.

"He just threw his hands up in the air and said 'I'm so sick and tired of this!' and he started hyperventalating," she says.

"He wasn't grasping what was happening and just panicked," says daughter Samantha Fisher.

 Donna says he just got in his pick-up and drove away at that point.

"I don't know which direction he went, but he was just gone," Donna says.

Wood County and Hawkins authorities have searched numerous wooded areas and back roads.

Unfortunately, there has been no sign of Robert.

"I'm afraid anyone who'd see him would say he's an old bum. I just want someone to help him if he's out there," says Donna.

One of the main concerns from the family is that Robert has a heart condition, and has been without required medication for the last three days.

"He takes about 10 to 12 medications a day," says Donna.

The family has checked to see if he may have purchased something with a credit card, but nothing's come up.

"There has been nothing on him. So he's somewhere, but we don't know how far," says son Mark Searer.

"I have such a hard, bad feeling that something is really bad wrong," Donna.

"He loves his family he keeps in contact with his family; him leaving like this and not calling one of us and letting us know where he's at is so out of character for him," Samantha says.

For the family, it's agonizing.

"The hopelessness of it is the worst part, because there ain't no one in this family they wouldn't do for their father, and we need him back," Mark says.

"We'll come and get you wherever you are," Donna says. 

According to Wood County Sheriff's officials, Searer has early-onset Alzheimer's disease. 

Searer was last seen wearing a light colored shirt and brown khaki pants. He is 5'9" tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has gray hair and wears glasses.

Searer is believed to be driving a gray 1998 Dodge pick-up with Texas license plate number BN4-5243.  He was last seen in the Hawkins area, according to the Wood County Sheriff's office.
