Authorities say a missing 77-year-old Chandler man has been found alive.
Chandler police said Donald Feiertag failed to return home after heading out for a drive last Saturday morning.
Feiertag was found by an Arizona Public Service worker around 11 a.m. on Wednesday south of Interstate 10 and west of Tonopah.
Police say Feiertag was conscious and coherent when found. He was with his vehicle, which had become stuck on an un-maintained road.
Family members had told police that Feiertag was known to take drives to the Casa Grande/Arizona City area, but normally returned on the same day. Police reported him missing on Sunday afternoon.
Police say Feiertag has been taken to a local hospital for observation.
