#MISSING: Salvacion Dematera, 45 - Howell, NEW JERSEY (has reportedly been living out of her car locally - car located on NJ Turnpike in Woodbridge)

The township's police department is asking for the public's help locating a missing woman who had reportedly been living out of her car locally.
Salvacion Dematera, 45, was reported missing by a friend in December of 2013, police said.

The friend told police that Dematera had been living out of her vehicle, mostly in the Freehold area, prior to her disappearance. Then on Jan. 17, New Jersey State Police located Dematera's vehicle at the Thomas Edison Service Area on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woodbridge, but police were unable to locate Dematera during a check of the surrounding area.
The most current information available indicates that Dematera may be in the New York area, police said.
"There is no reason to believe she is in danger," Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd of the Howell Township Police Department said in an email. "A friend was concerned when she could not locate her. We simply want to make sure that she is OK."

Anyone who encounters Dematera or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact Det. Scott Revilak of the Howell Township Police Department at 732-938-4575 X 2876.
