Her 19-year-old son, Dustin, went on emergency leave from the U.S. Marine Corps training in California to help find his mom. Prior to her missing status Chrissy had endured threats and even wrote a message to a close friend in which was sent two days before she went missing, on November 30th, that "she had come here (Shawneetown police) for help and they didn't' do anything. According to the message, Chrissy had been threatened by a man, and stated that "They (police) will never do anything until I come up dead."
She continued to write that "If I go missing, they'll know who did it." She was speaking about an ex-boyfriend whom she stated was threatening her. According to her sister, She has had no cell phone activity since she went missing and no video surveillance shows her vehicle leaving the town, and her vehicle was low on gas.  Chrissy is a loving mother, of one child; her son, who was looking forward to going to San Diego to see him graduate from Marine Bootcamp and would not have gone off on her own. Recently Chrissy posted her son's photo on Facebook to show how proud she is of him joining the US Marines, as well as a Marine Mom t-shirt she planned on wearing to his graduation. On her Facebook she also posted a younger photo of her son and wrote "was even my hero way back when the bravest lil kid i knew i love u my lil champ!!"   Please help find Chrissy for her family.  They ask that all residents please check their own properties for any sign that may lead to locating Chrissy. Her family and friends, including her ex husband, all state firmly she would never go missing on her own. They ask anyone with info, no matter how insignificant, to please contact authorities right away and they can remain anonymous if they choose.
