Located Safe: Shae Rebel, 2 - CA (located in Louisiana)

A Santa Clarita Valley family is breathing a sigh of relief after authorities found their 2-year-old missing child in Desoto Parish, Louisiana.
"The little girl, Shae Rebel, was located (Wednesday) afternoon in Mansfield, La.," said Detective Dave Campbell of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station's Detective Bureau.
"The girl is safe," Campbell said, adding that the child was in the custody of Louisiana's Department of Children & Family Services as of this morning. "The mom's elated. She's flying out today to get her child."
Shae Rebel was found after her father, Jesse Rebel, was pulled over while driving in Louisiana.
"It was a routine traffic stop by a sheriff's deputy out of Desoto Parish," Campbell said. "They conducted a traffic stop for reasons I don't know, and when they ran a check on the driver of the vehicle, which is Jesse Rebel, they found a $120,000 warrant for his arrest.
"(The arresting officer) notified me and I advised them on what actions to take," Campbell said. "The child is in protective custody."
Preliminary reports included information that the girl, who was reported missing in November, might be in the company of her father, Jesse Rebel, and the pair could be in North Dakota, according to the website.

"It's still a criminal investigation which has yet to be adjudicated," he explained.
There was no information available, yet, on what charges Rebel was facing; however, he is expected to be extradited and booked on a child-abduction charge.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station deputies received the report at 4:50 p.m. on Nov. 21, according to Deputy Josh Dubin of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station deputies investigated an average of slightly more than one missing person's report per day in 2012, the most recent numbers available, according to Sheriff's Station officials in a previous interview.
There were 368 incidents in 2012. Of those cases, more than 250 involved juveniles.
