In two separate cases, both the Sarasota and Charlotte County Sheriff's offices are looking for two missing men. One went missing a week ago and another was last seen back in November.
Imagine one of your family members a friend or even a neighbor just disappears. "You always worry about something like that if it's going on the neighborhood." Authorities say 54 year old John David Simmons was last seen January 23rd. Neighbors say Simmons was a shy quite man. Beverly Adams who lives across the street doesn't know what to think. "One family member rode by on his bike and stopped and told us what was going on. He seemed very concerned."
Nobody was at Simmons home Thursday. Left inside at the time of the disappearance was the mans cell phone, work keys and a note which detectives are not releasing. "He gave rise that he might be in danger. We need to locate him to determine his well being," says spokesperson Debbie Bowe. Investigators are also trying to find Simmons 2000 white and grey Ford F-150 pick up truck.
