The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is investigating the suspicious death of a 20-year-old man who has been missing for nearly a month.
Ruben Rivera was last seen on Dec. 22 at a home in the 6400 block of Stoneman Drive. The sheriff's department said Rivera's body was found in his 1992 Toyota Tacoma truck on Wednesday at Watt Avenue and Baseline Road.
Homicide detectives said the truck and Rivera's body were likely at the location for a few weeks. They said the truck was obscured from view because it was parked on property that is usually not used at this time of year.
The sheriff's department deemed Rivera's death as suspicious but have not classified it as a homicide. Detectives are still waiting for the Sacramento Coroner's Office to determine the cause of death. No other information was released about the discovery or the investigation.
