AT-RISK #MISSING: Josue Parra-Meza, 20 - Las Vegas, NEVADA (Down's Syndrome - mental capacity of 10-12 year old)


North Las Vegas police are seeking the public's help in locating a 20-year-old North Las Vegas man with Down's Syndrome who may be at risk because of his condition.

Josue Parra-Meza went missing from a group home at 825 Beefeater (Revere/Gowan area) at about 5 p.m. Friday following a short argument with his mother.

Parra-Meza has Down's Syndrome and has the approximate mental capacity of a 10 to 12-year-old. He is afraid of the dark and afraid of police. He also loves McDonald's restaurant. He has no friends in the area and doesn't know his way around the city. 

He is described as 5-foot-8, 180 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing black coat, white T-shirt with black writing and blue jeans.

All hospitals are asked to check their registries for Josue Parra-Meza, or any John Doe matching the above description, and to notify police immediately if found. It should be noted that HIPPA permits disclosure upon request to Law Enforcement, and is authorized pursuant, 45 C.F.R. section 154.512.
