An 83-year-old township man has been missing since Sunday afternoon and police are asking the public’s assistance in finding Joseph Hue.
While he rarely leaves home, he was reported missing once before earlier this year and was found near Buffalo, N.Y., police said.
Hue was last seen at 2 p.m. Sunday by his wife, who left home briefly and when she returned at 3 p.m. and he was not home, said Lt. Steven Laskiewicz. There has been no contact with him since. His car is also missing.
Patrolman Michael Kelly took the missing persons report.
Hue has a light brown complexion. He is 6-foot tall and approximately 174 pounds; has gray hair and brown eyes. Hue’s cellphone was left at home and he may be wearing a light colored shirt, red jacket, jeans, brown shoes and a baseball cap. He walks with a limp and his mouth droops slightly due to a stroke from a few years ago. He also has a Jamaican accent, has short-term memory loss and takes daily medication.
He is likely driving a 2002 green, four-door Mitsubishi Diamante, New Jersey license plates SCY 75Y.
Hue’s destination is unknown. He rarely strays away from his home but earlier this year he was reported missing and was located in a town just outside Buffalo, NY.
Anyone with any information about Mr. Hue, please contact the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111.
