Charleston police are searching for a man who disappeared after texting his girlfriend that he wanted to die.
Scott Szego, 35, of Shadowmoss Parkway in Charleston, left his home around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday and hasn’t been seen since, Charleston police said.
According to police, Szego has a history of drug addiction and suicidal threats. Shortly before he disappeared, Szego texted his girlfriend that he wanted to die, police said.
Szego was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and jeans, police said. He is white, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds.
Anyone who sees or hears from Szego is asked to contact Charleston police.
