The Maine Warden Service and Winthrop are looking for a missing 60-year-old man.
Thomas Devoy is believed to have left his Stanley Road home in Winthrop early this morning.
“The family believes that there is cause to be concerned for Mr. Devoy’s welfare,” said a 7 p.m. press release from the Winthrop Police Department.
Devoy is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has blue eyes with salt and pepper hair. He was wearing brown sweat pants, a black NorthFace Fleece pullover and slippers when he left his home, and left behind his cellphone and wallet.
The press release said he had “no indication of destination or any intent.”
The Maine Warden Service unsuccessfully used search dogs and an airplane to search for him in the woods surrounding his home, according to the press release.
The police department asks anyone who has seen or had contact with Devoy since Saturday to call 207-377-7226.
