#MISSING: Kay McCoy, 57 - Jasper, TEXAS (MISSING FOR 1 YEAR)

Jasper County Sheriff's Deputies along with a K-9 Unit from the Red River Parish Sheriff's Office searched for a missing woman at her residence on Farm to Market Road 1747 Tuesday morning.

Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman said that Kay McCoy, of Jasper, has not been seen or heard from since October 2012. According to Newman, McCoy's bank was the first to report that McCoy had not used her account in months. Newman also said that Adult Protective Services had contacted them concerning McCoy's where abouts, in regard to McCoy's mentally handicapped daughter who lives at Saint Giles Living Center in Lufkin.

Kristina Hicks, McCoy's oldest daughter, said that it was not unusual for her mother to leave for months at a time, without talking to anyone.

Newman said he requested Red River Parish Deputy Randy Thomas and his Cadaver Dog “Cephira” to assist because they have successfully helped the Jasper Sheriff's Office on other missing person searches.

Newman said that the investigation is still on going and to contact the Jasper County Sheriff's Office (409) 384-5417  if anyone has any information concerning Kay McCoy.
