#MISSING: James Lutter, 60 - Lane County, OREGON

Authorities are searching for a Lane County man who was last seen leaving the Portland area Tuesday.

James Lutter, 60, was planning on riding his white Triumph "Tiger" motorcycle east through the Detroit area to John Day and then toward Medford along unknown back roads, according to the Lane County Sheriff's Office. But he never made it home Thursday as expected.

When authorities tried to locate Lutter using his cellphone, a signal came back from southern Lane County in the Big River area, but the accuracy of that information is "questionable."

Jackson, Douglas and Lane counties are all searching for Lutter, who is 6 feet tall, weighs about 220 pounds and has brown hair.

If you've seen him or the motorcycle pictured above, authorities are asking you to please call the Lane County Sheriff's Office at (541) 682-4141.
