State authorities issued an Amber Alert Saturday for a Kill Devil Hills child they believe was abducted by her 22-year-old mother.
Neviah Faith Dobson, 4, is white, stands 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 35 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black long sleeve sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and black tennis shoes.
Police believe the child was abducted by 22-year-old Shelby Nichole Dobson.
Shelby Dobson is white, stands 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. The Amber Alert states she has tattoos of flowers on her mid-neck and thigh, as well as dolphins on her mid-back.
Investigators said Dobson was last seen leaving Wallace Street in Kill Devil Hills. She was driving a silver 1999 Ford Taurus with a NC license plate OBX54622.
Anyone with information about Dobson's disappearance should call 911 or the Kill Devil Hills Police Department at 252-473-3444.
