ENDANGERED MISSING: Donald L. Adams, 83 - Knoxville, TENNESSEE (HAS BOUTS OF CONFUSION - DRIVING A SILVER 2011 JEEP PATRIOT)

Authorities on Monday were searching for an 83-year-old Knox County man last heard from Sunday night in LaFollette, Tenn.

Authorities haven entered the missing Donald L. Adams into the national crime information database as an endangered person because of his recent bouts with confusion.

Adams about 11:30 a.m. Sunday left his daughter’s house on Garden Side Lane in Powell to return to his home on Oak Creek Lane, according to a police report filed in LaFollette.

At 9 p.m. Sunday, Adams called his daughter from a gas station in LaFollette seeking directions because he was lost. His cellphone has since died and Adams has not appeared.

Adams was driving a silver 2011 Jeep Patriot.

He began displaying bouts of confusion in January.

He is described as standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He is American Indian with a distinctive loss of pigmentation around his hairline.

Adams was wearing blue jeans and a white, button-up shirt when last seen. He also wears glasses.

Anyone with information about Adams should call their E-911 Center to report the sighting. 911 Centers across the nation should have information about the missing man.
