An Amber Alert has been issued in a child kidnapping in Idaho Falls.
Debra and Scott Yagues, the legal guardians of Aaliyah Alynn Esqueda, 5, allowed her paternal grandparents, Salvadore Esqueda and Irene Ma Esqueda, to visit with Aaliyah on Tuesday.
The Yagues got information Friday via Facebook through one of the Esquedas' relatives that the grandparents were taking Aaliyah to her father in Mexico. Police said that information appears to be accurate.
Aaliyah and her paternal grandparents left on a bus from Idaho Falls around 11 p.m. Thursday.
Aaliyah is Hispanic, is 3'5” tall, weighs 50 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. It's unknown what she is wearing.
Second-degree kidnapping warrants have been issued for Salvadore Esqueda, 74, and Irene Ma Esqueda 71. Salvadore Esqueda is Hispanic, is 5’5” tall, weighs 160 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes. Irene Ma Esqueda is Hispanic, is 5’4” tall, weighs 178 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information concerning this case should call the Idaho Falls Police Department at (208) 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.
Respectfully,
