Tampa, Florida -- UPDATE: A man who ran away from his home Friday night threatening to harm himself has been found safe, according to authorities.

Previous Story:

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says a man is missing after running from his home and making threatening statements about taking his own life.

On July 19, around 7:45 p.m. Elligha Wilson made statements to his mother that "he didn't belong here", held a knife up to his neck and ran from his home on River Vista Court.

Reportedly, Wilson then fled to his grandmother's residence on Mohawk Avenue East where he became belligerent and again made similar suicidal threats before fleeing on foot.

Wilson is diagnosed with a condition that requires medication, but he has has been off the medication for approximately 4 months.  It is believed that he may be heading to the Clair Mel area.

Anyone with any information reference the whereabouts Elligha Wilson is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200.
