MISSING WOMAN: Mandy Matula, 24 - Eden Prairie, MINNESOTA

MISSING WOMAN: Mandy Matula, 24 - Eden Prairie, MINNESOTA

The Brunswick Zone Bowling and Entertainment Center, where Mandy Matula worked before she went missing, will host a fundraiser on Monday -- and FOX 9 News got a preview of what the crowd can expect.

The 24-year-old has now been missing for a month despite the efforts of hundreds of people who have donated their time to search a wide area stretching from the metro to a few hours north. Now, friends and family hope the fundraiser will help bolster the search.

The fundraiser will run from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will include live music, $1 bowling, laser tag and a silent auction. There will also be a free shuttle bus taking guests to and from the Southwest Transit Hub to ensure there will be plenty of parking.

All the proceeds will go to the Mandy Matula Fund and the ongoing effort to bring her home to her family.

NO CLUES IN ST. CLOUD

After the Eden Prairie Police Department cautioned against a large water search, officials and a smaller group of volunteers took to the Mississippi River near St. Cloud to seek Mandy Matula.

Sunday's search effort saw a twinge of controversy after police urged volunteers to cancel their own efforts on the river late last week because they feared the swollen, fast-moving water might be too dangerous for inexperienced participants. In the end, the group organizing the search -- Minnesota United -- canceled the public volunteer portion; however, they did bring in a couple of boats on the water.

Late in the afternoon, FOX 9 News learned no new signs of Matula were found.

Mandy Matula disappeared more than a month ago. Her family said she was last seen with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, David Roe. Roe later shot himself before police could question him about Mandy’s whereabouts.

For the past month, police and volunteers have been searching many places for Mandy.
