Toledo, Ohio missing child alert: As of June 3, 2013 officials are still seeking Elaina Steinfurth, who vanished yesterday afternoon. The infant was reportedly last seen at the home of her mother Angela Steinfurth, but when the father arrived to pick his daughters up, the mother stopped him. He was given the older girl (his four-year-old daughter) but was not given access to little Elaina. He reported her missing when it was discovered that she was not at Angela's residence.
This case is immediately suspicious because the mother has clearly intervened somehow to keep the girl away from her father, but not the other. This indicates that she knew the child was missing, but how involved is she with the disappearance if at all? Officials have not confirmed whether or not this is a potential abduction, but scoured the neighborhood yesterday to no success.
Today they are continuing the search for the missing child, but there doesn't appear to be any positive updates to make. What needs to be asked is whether or not Angela Steinfurth is being investigated and questioned by police since she evidently hindered the father's knowledge of his daughter's disappearance. Are polygraph tests being administered? Are cadaver dogs being brought to the search?
Elaina Steinfurth was reportedly last seen wearing a pair of orange shorts with flowers, but that is the only description that is being given. If you've seen the child seen in the flyer above, do not hesitate to call 911. If you know anything about what might have happened to this child, please do the right thing so she can either be reunited with her father or justice can be served.
