CRITCAL MISSING WOMAN: Tammy Wallace, 50 - Washington County, MISSOURI (MENTALLY IMPAIRED)

The search for Tammy Wallace, a missing woman with mental impairments, continues in Washington County.

Wallace, age 50, was last seen in the area of Lodgestone Road just off Highway 185. She is caucasian, approximately five foot tall, weighs approximately 190 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.

Sheriff Andy Skiles says the department and surrounding agencies are putting forth every effort possible to locate the missing woman.

"We have Eureka Fire down there and their strike team. Sullivan fire is there. There are a couple St. Louis County units there. I would say there are about a hundred firefighters mixed in with law enforcement on the ground right now. They continued the search all night last night," Skiles said.

Wallace reportedly wandered away from her home in the area of the Indian Creek subdivision Monday evening. Authorities say she stays with her sister and her husband. They left the residence Monday and when they returned, Wallace was gone.

"We've got dogs out there (but) they really haven't turned anything up. They tracked from the house to about midway out Jeff City Road. That's kind of where we are at. We will continue on today and go from there," Skiles said.

The subdivision is bordered by the Mark Twain National Forest to the south and the Pea Ridge Subdivision to the north. Both of these areas encompass literally thousands of acres of wilderness containing creeks, trails, caves and old logging roads.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is being urged to call the Washington County Sheriff's Department at (573) 438-5478, or 9-1-1.
