Missing: Daisy Jo Holland, 2 (from campground) - Elk River, MN

Authorities are continuing to search for a 2-year-old girl who went missing from Wapiti Park Campground in Elk River Friday night.

Police say Daisy Jo Holland was last seen playing near the Elk River around 8:15 p.m. while at the campground with her mother and family members as they prepared to camp for the weekend.

The campground is located at 18746 Troy Street.

  • Shoulder length blonde hair.
  • Blue eyes.
  • Approximately 2 feet tall.
  • Approximately 30 lbs.
  • Last seen wearing black pants and a pink shirt that imprinted with "Hello Kitty".

Crews began searching the campground area and river Friday night.

Early Saturday, the focus of the search shifted to an area along the river bank where search dogs picked up a scent about 200 yards from where the family was camping. A dive team has been called in to search the river.

Daisy is described as 2-feet tall and about 30 pounds with blue eyes and shoulder length blonde hair. She was last seen wearing black pants and a pink shirt imprinted with "Hello Kitty."

Anyone with information on Daisy's location is asked to call Sherburne County Dispatch at 763-765-3595.
