ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- The Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed remains found Tuesday are that of missing waitress Barbara Parchem.
On Tuesday, the St. Johns Sheriff's Office discovered remains in the West Deep Creek area in Flagler County.
Dr. Predag Bulic of the 23rd District Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the remains found were of Parchem, according to a release from Sergeant Catherine Payne of St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

According to the report, Parchem's death is due to blunt force trauma.
The robbery/homicide detectives of St. Johns County are coordinating with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office and the State Attorney's Office to continue the investigation.

A person of interest has been identified and detectives are questioning witnesses as well as examining evidence, according to the release.
