Case Number: 57351 NCMC# 1146491
Circumstance:
At approximately 2:30 PM, on April 26, 2010, just prior to leaving the Spring High School campus, Ali Lowitzer called her mother to discuss the possibility of picking up her paycheck and also her working at the Burger Barn that afternoon. This was a new job for Ali and she had only worked there a couple of weeks. The last eyewitness accounts of Ali state she was walking towards Treaschwig Road. The last communication recorded was a text message sent from Ali at 2:57 PM to a friend asking them to come over later that afternoon, this is approximately 10 minutes after exiting the school bus. Ali is very avid with using cell phones and sending text messages, averaging over 4000 messages a month. Her messages stopped at 3pm. Her mom thinking she was at work did not start to worry until she went to pick her up and saw the restaurant was closed. Ali's room was exactly as it was that morning prior, her cell phone charger, clothes, makeup, jewelry and things that were very important to her were not missing. In addition, the paycheck she intended on picking up was reported by the manager of the Burger Barn as not being picked up yet. The employees also claimed not to have seen Ali. Ali rarely went out with friends and loves her creature comforts of home. Her friends would usually come hangout over at her house. Ali is artistic and liked being in her room, drawing, painting, listening to music while texting her friends. Ali is an active girl involved in softball, Girl Scouts, choir and art. She had plans in the near future she looked forward to which included a birthday party for a friend in which Ali was involved in the arrangements.
