MISSING WOMAN: Heather Cameron, 28 - Shasta, CALIFORNIA

A Redding family is asking for help finding Heather Cameron, a mother who has been missing since mid-August.

28 year-old Heather Cameron called 911 back on August 18, claiming she had been drugged with heroin in the Keswick Dam area.

Her family says that is the last time anyone has seen her.

Heather's estranged husband, Shaun Cameron,  who Heather has been with for more than eight years, says recently Heather has had some drug problems but it's unlike her to go so long without trying to contact her family.

Shaun said the last time he saw Heather was on August 11 when he took their three daughters to visit her.

Saturday was their daughter's second birthday and because the family still hasn't heard anything from her, Shaun says he knows something is wrong.

"As bad as she's ever gotten she's never not checked on her kids. She's a great mom. She's made bad decisions in the last year," said Shaun.

The Shasta County Sheriff's Department said Heather has been listed as a missing person.

Search and Rescue teams searched the area around Keswick Dam but were unable to  track her down.

"We just don't want to sit around and wonder if she's ok or not.  I don't want to have to lie to my children. I don't want to tell them if she's alive or dead. It's something you can't imagine having to tell your kids... but not knowing? It's a different story," said Shaun.

If you have any details give officials a call.
