Vigo County Police are continuing their search for David M. Schroeder.
He was reported missing since last Thursday.
Every effort has been made to locate Schroeder
Local authorities have requested that a Silver Alert be issued.
Now the state has denied issuing the Silver Alert Center.
Authorities say that the Alert was denied because the case didn’t meet all of the criteria including, that they could not demonstrate that, due to the mental impairment, the individual cannot find his or her way back to their residence without assistance from Law Enforcement and that due to physical or mental impairment, or lack of medication, this individual, if driving, could be a danger to themselves or others.
Family members have said that Schroeder has a heart condition and is diabetic but his doctor is unable to attest to either of these qualifying statements in this case.
