Where is PFC Kelli Bordeaux ?
A search is underway for United States Army Pfc. Kelli Bordeaux. The 23-year-old was last seen in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Bordeaux, a soldier stationed at Fort Bragg, left the Froggy Bottoms bar early Saturday and was given a ride home by a bar employee. She was reported missing Monday when she failed to report for duty.
Bordeaux’s cell phone last pinged off of nearby cell towers early Saturday. She also sent two text messages, one of which read “got home safely.”
Fayetteville Police Chief Tom Bergamine believes that Bordeaux may be in danger, noting that Fort Bragg officials consider her a good soldier, and not one to go AWOL.
Authorities have searched woods and ponds in the area. Mike Bordeaux says he's happy with the support of Fayetteville police, the Army and volunteers who are looking for her.
Bordeaux is assigned as a health service specialist with the 601st Area Support Medical Company, 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion, 44th Medical Brigade. She has blond hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a pink tank top and black shorts, police said. She is described as 5-foot-1, weighing 102 pounds.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is being urged to call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).
