Ayla Reynolds missing toddler in Maine - Updates

Grassroots group: United for Ayla - HUNTER CAMPAIGN The United For Ayla group has an awareness campaign for those who hunt in Maine. While nobody wants to find a child's (or any person's) earthly body, it is important for them to keep their eyes open in case they may spot something suspicious and to report it right away. Maine Hunters can print this for their lodges to help continue to bring awareness of the missing child, Ayla Reynolds:

State police spokesman Steve McCausland said searchers concentrated in the area of the Brookfield Dam behind the railroad yard.

McCausland said divers searched the river and dogs searched the river banks. He said nothing new was found in Tuesday's search.

Ayla was reported missing by her father on Dec. 17. He told police that he put her to bed the night before and discovered her missing the next morning.

Police believe Ayla is dead and say there is no evidence to indicate she was kidnapped.

The mother of missing Maine Toddler holds Benefit Walk in honor of her daughter.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Press Release) - Jul 15, 2012 -

The event titled, "Ayla's Walk with Trista — A Benefit Walk for Ayla" brought a crowd of 75 family and community supporters to Portland yesterday. White Doves of Maine donated three beautiful doves named Faith, Love and
Hope in which the young mother released in honor of her missing daughter. A flying lantern release was also done in which 45 bright pink lanterns flew in honor of the missing child. The lanterns were donated and organized by
Christi Lalicker, of LostNMissing along with a number of military wives from Jacksonville, Florida.
The walk began at Monument Square in Portland led by Reynolds holding a large six foot banner with three photos of Ayla at the front of the walk. The group made their final stop at Deering Oaks Park. The event was organized by Trista Reynolds and sponsored by LostNMissing Inc the nonprofit out of Londonderry, NH. It was the same walk that Reynolds took, on a near daily basis with her young daughter prior to her disappearance.

Ayla was 20 months old when was reported missing by her father on Dec. 17, 2011. Justin DiPietro, the father, said Ayla disappeared from her bed overnight, saying she was last wearing polka dot pajamas with the words "Daddy's Princess" on them. She had a cast on her broken left arm. Police have ruled out the possibility that Ayla was abducted and have said they don't expect to find her alive. But Reynolds still wants answers, and she wants to bring her daughter home. "Why won't someone tell the truth?" cries Reynolds. "All I ask is to have my daughter home and for someone to please tell the truth as to where I can find my baby." Reynolds told the crowd.

A state police spokesman said there are no new developments in the investigation but that detectives are continuing to work on the case. There has yet to be any arrests in the disappearance of the missing child.
