#Missing: Mark Bartishell, 32 - Chicago, Illinois

[Missing: Mark Bartishell, 32 - Chicago, Illinois]

A Mt. Greenwood woman is concerned for her brother's well-being after he did not show up to a housesitting obligation.

Mark Bartishell, 32, was last seen Friday, Jan. 15 at 12:01 a.m. at 4870 N. Broadway. He was driving a car involved in an accident at that location, and left the scene after speaking with police, said his sister Sandra. He has not been heard from since. She is uncertain if he was injured, and Chicago police have not said if he was issued any citations.

Bartishell is a graduate of Oak Forest High School. He had been staying with his sister at her Mt. Greenwood home for several weeks. She last spoke with him that night around 8:30, for less than a minute.

"He was supposed to be house-sitting my sister's house from last Friday night until this coming Saturday," Sandra said. "VERY unlike him not to show up."

Calls to all hospitals in the area have revealed that he was not taken there. He also was not arrested, Sandra said. She is seeking more information from the police officer called to the accident.

Bartishell is a beloved member of the Chicago-area musical theatre community. He is described as 5-foot-8 inches, 140 pounds and of slim build. He was wearing blue jeans, a black leather waist-length coat, and black ankle boots. He has short, brown hair, hazel eyes and one of them is a "lazy" eye, Sandra said. A missing person report has been filed.

Anyone with information should call Sandra at 312-315-2128.
