#Missing: Marisol Espinosa, 34 - Dallas, Texas

[Missing: Marisol Espinosa, 34 - Dallas, Texas]

The family of Marisol Espinosa now say homicide detectives are part of the search for the missing mother.

Dallas police now consider her former boyfriend to be a person of interest in the case of the missing woman.

A source told WFAA that search warrants were executed Saturday in what has become a homicide investigation.

WFAA found police officers and a crime scene unit late Saturday at the home Espinosa shared with Faustino Valdez.

Around 10:40 p.m. Saturday, detectives entered the front door of the home. Crime scene investigators were still at the scene into the night.

On Sunday, Espinosa's family spent six hours searching the area around Lawnview Park and Sycene Rd near White Rock Creek in southeast Dallas.

Her cousin Mindy Trujillo was at the home Saturday night when investigators arrived with a search warrant.

"They sat there and told us it's not uncommon for the homicide unit to become involved in high priority type cases," Trujillo says.  "I''m not going to lose faith because I believe we are going to find her."

Multiple sources said investigators have been unable to locate Valdez for several days. Police were also searching for items connected to him as they search for any sign of his missing girlfriend.

In recent days, WFAA has learned of Valdez's violent past.

Records confirm that he has been investigated for assault twice in the last two years. Espinosa's family has confirmed reports of abuse that include Valdez having a weapon and engaging in domestic violence.
