The Natrona County Coroner's Office identified Bernie Bickels, 64, on Tuesday evening.
Natrona County officials had been looking for Bickels since he failed to return home after taking his dogs for a walk over the weekend.
Bickels was reported missing at 6 p.m. Saturday after family members found his empty pickup with the driver's side door open at Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park, east of Evansville.
Rachel Bickels said the family feared her father fell into the river while trying to rescue a dog that had fallen through the ice.
On Sunday, searchers found the body of one of Bickels' black Labradors in the river, downstream from where the truck was parked.
