Earthly body located; Timothy Williams 20 - Prichard, Alabama

MOBILE, Alabama -- The dead body found near the border between the cities of Mobile and Prichard was identified as 20-year-old Timothy Williams, family members say. Just days prior, a search party scoured parts of the city, posting fliers, searching for the man who disappeared earlier this month.

Police notified the family late Friday, confirming that Williams' death is being investigated as a homicide, Maynard Whigham, the victim's uncle said in an interview Saturday.

"They haven't released the cause of death, but they did say that it was a homicide," Whigham said. "But the autopsy is being performed today. But beyond that they haven't given us any other information outside of that."
