#MISSING: Leslie McCoy, 48 - Tallahassee, FLORIDA

Police with the help of cadaver dogs scoured a 200-acre wooded field and several mobile home parks Tuesday near Munson Slough in western Leon County for a 48-year-old woman who has been missing since late August.
Family members reported Leslie R. McCoy missing to police after they had lost touch with her. McCoy is described as 6-foot-1 with brown hair, hazel eyes and weighing 180 pounds and is known to frequent the Frenchtown area.
She was last seen Aug. 27.
Tallahassee Police Department Spokesman David Northway said there is no suspicion of foul play in McCoy's disappearance, but the increasing amount of time since she was last heard from is concerning.
"There is no direct evidence leading us to say there is something wrong," Northway said, "but he longer you're not heard from or not contacted we do continue to look for her and try to bring her home to her family."
Police have worked to locate McCoy since Sept 25, canvassing locations where she has been known to frequent.

McCoy regularly has contact with law enforcement and has almost a dozen charges of solicitation or prostitution. Seven of her charges are felony prostitution.
Her last arrest was in July for trespassing, but Northway said there is no connection between McCoy's previous arrests and her disappearance.
"There is no information that would connect Mrs. McCoy's disappearance or even alleged disappearance at this time," Northway said. "We are simply looking for Mrs. McCoy. We are not sure exactly what has occurred or if anything has occurred at this time."
Kelly Walker, president First Response K-9 Team, and her lab Tucker searched tall grass and the surrounding woods Tuesday. They were joined by two other dogs.
Walker said, for McCoy's family's sake, she hoped to find something Tuesday.
"If there is something there, the dogs will let us know," Walker said prior to starting to search. "We're not doing a check for a live find at this point. So we just hope to be able to return her to her family in one way or another."
Northway said there is no significance that searchers were using cadaver dogs.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of McCoy is asked to call TPD investigator Karen Ryan at (850) 891-4965 or the Tallahassee Police Department at (850) 4200 or Big Bend Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-8477.
