The Dane County Medical Examiner has confirmed the body pulled from Starkweather Creek on Thursday is that of 63-year-old Nejay Redd, a Madison woman who has been missing since September 15th.
Her family was contacted Thursday when the body was found, police believed it to be her, but still needed to conduct an autopsy.
The ME's office says the results of the autopsy are still pending, but they are able to confirm the deceased is Nejay Redd.
This death is still under investigation by the Madison Police Department.
Nejay's daughter, Memie Redd, said yesterday her mom could not walk and said there is no chance she just wandered off. The family says foul play is definitely suspected.
