Around a dozen police officers on foot, a handful on off-road vehicles and a helicopter were searching in North Tonawanda for a man reported missing on Tuesday.
Frances Christman, 35, hasn't been seen since he left his home on Cottage Street around 8 p.m. to take his dog for a walk. He was walking in the area of Demlers off of Witmer Road, but neither he or his dog ever returned. His girlfriend reported Christman missing.
He is described as white, around 6′ tall and 240 pounds, with numerous tattoos. He has short brown hair and was last seen wearing a black fleece North Face jacket, a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and tan Army boots. His dog is a Rottweiler with white fur around his mouth.
Police do not know the circumstances surrounding Christman's disappearance, but say it is considered suspicious.
Anyone with information should contact detectives at 692-4325.
