AUTISTIC #MISSING: James Tracy Wilson, 57 - Jacksonville, FLORIDA (MILDLY AUTISTIC - LAST SEEN JANUARY 3RD, 2013 - HIS GREEN 2007 BUICK LACROSSE WITH FL PLATE 6106HH IS STILL MISSING)

Holidays bring families together, but some are missing loved ones who have been reported missing.

Carol Payne knows something about the pain as her younger brother, James Tracy Wilson, has been missing for 11 months.

"It was always very big to him, very big, very important. Thanksgiving? And Christmas," said Payne from her home off Dunn Avenue.

Wilson, who is described as mildly autistic by his sister, was last seen January 3 at the Wendy's off Lem Turner Road. Police have been on the case since day one with no idea yet where the 57 year-old man may be.

Payne said the family has handed out 1,000 flyers since his disappearance.

"His wallet, his cell phone all of his money ... all left at home," said Payne, who noted there was no evidence of any disturbance in Wilson's home that he shared with his mother.

And the green 2007 Buick Lacrosse with FL tag 6106HH he was driving? It has not turned up either.

Payne said she keeps an eye out for the that style of car, "If I am going in the same direction, I try to get a little closer to see,"

As family gathers first for Thanksgiving and then Christmas, Payne said a part of their lives will be missing.

"It would be great to know something, whether positive or not so good," she said.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office each year receives about 5,000 missing persons calls, many involving juveniles, with most returning home on their own within eleven days. A team of detectives on average work 2,100 cases with few involving foul play.

Anyone with information on any missing persons case can call the JSO at (904) 630-0500.
