ENDANGERED MISSING: William "Billy" Scheetz, 17 - Powell, OHIO (car recovered in Mount Washington, KY)

The Powell Police Department issued an endangered missing juvenile alert for 17-year-old William (Billy) Scheetz on Tuesday.

According to police, Scheetz was last seen around midnight Monday.

He was driving a dark blue 2013 Ford Fiesta, which was recovered on U.S. Route 31 East in Mount Washington, Ky., near Hough Run.

Kentucky's Bullitt County Sheriff's Office in Shepherdsville, Ky., was leading an active search and investigation in the Mount Washington area.

Powell Police and search and rescue teams along with the Louisville Police Department Helicopter Unit was assisting in the active search.

Officials said that he did not take his cellphone or wallet with him.
