Circumstance: Alexis was reportedly on her way to Lynchburg, VA driving her father's white 2003 Nissan Maxima with license plates WYN-3706 when she disappeared. The car was later found near a movie theater in Albemarle County, after which police went door-to-door in the area searching for her. Alexis is still missing. Investigators say the 17-year-old was last seen August 3. The images released show her at a Liberty gas station in Lovingston. The first surveillance picture shows Alexis walking outside the gas station and the other shows her coming through the front door.The clerk said she seemed "normal" said hello and bye and did not seem as if anyone was in the vehicle with her. A house is being searched for her cell phone off of Cannery Loop, which is only a few miles north of that Liberty Gas Station in Lovingston. FBI told the home owner he had reason to believer her cell phone may be found in the area.
