Police Find Missing Mom, Baby
Police say they found a woman and her infant son after she allegedly failed to return him to his father.
Police say 37-year-old Shakira Lovelace took her 2-month-old son, Emmanuel Lovelace, during an unsupervised child visit. After the visit, police say Lovelace never returned her son to his father, the baby’s custodial guardian. The woman and her son were last seen at the Cologne Garden Apartments on Saturday in Mays Landing, NJ.
Police say Lovelace is currently prescribed medication for undisclosed psychological issues.
On Saturday, shortly before 2 p.m., police announced that Lovelace and her son were found, unharmed. They have not yet revealed where they were found or if Lovelace will be charged.
