MISSING: Ayako Sato, 47 - (tourist) NYC (DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH)

The NYPD is trying to find a missing Japanese tourist who hasn’t been seen in more than two weeks.

Ayako Sato, 47, entered the country through California back on May 28, police said.

She came to New York City on June 22 and checked in to the Metro Hotel at 45 West 35th Street where she stayed for a few days before checking out on June 26, police said. She has not been seen since.

On Tuesday, police said she called her husband and asked for money, but has not made phone contact with anyone since then.

Police said Sato is 5-foot-5, weighs 105 pounds and does not speak English.

Anyone with information on where she might be is asked to call Crime Stoppers  at 800-577-TIPS, visit the Crime Stoppers website or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
