A body found Sunday afternoon in the woods near Albany Street has been identified as a city woman who suffered from Alzheimer's and had been missing for more than a week, police said.

The body of Mary Wright was found just after 2 p.m. in a wooded area not far from the corner of Bradford Road and Albany Street, police said.

An autopsy was performed Sunday night at Ellis Hospital, authorities said it is still unclear what caused Wright's death, as is when she died. Police said it does not appear to be suspicious.

Wright, 68, was last seen in the early morning of June 28. Police, forest rangers and volunteers spent days combing through woods near her Queens Drive home, the Woodlawn Drainage Project, Vale Cemetery and Vale Park and the parks' ponds.
