A 66-year-old Lemon Grove man who went missing from an electronics store in San Diego this week was reunited with his family Sunday, sheriff's officials said.

James Edward Smith was reported missing after he last seen driving away from Willy's Electronics at 4925 Mercury St. shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday, sheriff's officials said.

He possibly was headed toward a Harbor Freight store in Chula Vista, but did not arrive there or to his home in Lemon Grove, authorities said.

Calls to Smith's cellphone went unanswered. His family and friends were unsure of his whereabouts and feared for his safety, sheriff's officials said.

Border patrol agents spotted Smith at the San Ysidro port of entry Sunday morning and he was later identified by family members, sheriff's officials said.

He was not injured, authorities said.
