A 28-year-old San Juan Capistrano woman reported missing since Friday was found dead Monday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The body of Melissa Rae Sutor was discovered in a hotel on the 2700 block of Ortega Highway around 2:44 p.m. yesterday, according to Gail Krause, a department spokesperson.
Authorities found no evidence of foul play and are investigating the case as an apparent suicide, Krause said.

Sutor was last seen by her parents at their residence in San Juan Capistrano on Friday at 11:30 a.m. According to family members, Sutor had recently been exhibiting strange behavior and had not eaten in the last few days.
