New Orleans police are searching for a 24-year-old mentally challenged man who is mising from the Milan neighborhood.
Derrick Garner's caretaker last saw him 1:30 p.m. Tuesday jumping the fence of the Community Care Center in the 1400 block of General Taylor Street, according to a New Orleans Police Department news release.
―>Garner suffers from a medical condition and is in need of his medication, police said.
―>Garner is described as medium-complexion, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and approximately 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing hospital scrubs. Police said no photograph of Garner was available.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Derrick Garner is asked to call the NOPD's non-emergency line at 504.821.2222.
