PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 9, 2013 - The Nonprofit LostNMissing Inc, of New Hampshire, along with the husband and friends of missing Jennifer Ramsaran, Ganesh "Remy" Ramsaran, will be holding a Shining Hope Event for his missing wife. The event will be open to the public.

Volunteers will gather at St. Bartholomew's Church on 73 East Main St, Norwich, NY 13815 at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 16, 2013.  The event will start with a prayer and words of appreciation from Jennifer's husband.  Following missing posters will be distributed to volunteers to hang in surrounding communities.  Cynthia Caron, President and Founder of LostNMissing says, "A Shining Hope Event helps brings hope for the family and awareness to the public of Jennifer's missing. Gathering the public to assist is an ideal way of having more posters distributed in as many surrounding communities, as possible." Caron further explains, "This is also a wonderful opportunity for the media to come and talk with Jennifer's husband, Remy. He wants as many people as possible to know of Jennifer's disappearance in case they have information that may help lead to her. Remy and his children are holding strong and ask that if anyone has information, no matter how insignificant, that they please contact Lt. Cobb of the Chenango Sheriff's office at (607)-337-1921. All calls will be kept confidential."

Jennifer disappeared on December 11, 2012. She kissed her husband on the cheek and left the family home at approx. 10:30 am.  Her destination was to go to the Destiny USA Mall in Syracuse, New York which is 84 miles from home.  It is a trip that was often made by Jennifer, approx. 7 times a year. It is believed she had approx. $500 in cash and her intentions was to purchase a dress for her daughter's Christmas show and a gift for her husband for Christmas.  It is not known if she ever arrived at the mall. Her cell phone was found the next morning on State Highway 23 and Moon Hill Road, in Plymouth, NY;  her red Chrysler minivan was found, four days later, on Dec. 16th in an apartment parking lot at Plank Road Manor, 95 Plymouth Street in Norwich, NY.  The family home has been searched, as is customary, and a number of items from the home along with computers and electronics were brought in for forensic testing.  Remy has taken a polygraph and has fully cooperated with law enforcement.

The event will end with free refreshments and a flying lantern release. This is an outdoor event so the public is asked to bring lawn chairs if they wish for seating and to dress warm.  Further details are available at www.jenniferramsaran.com
